Hannah-Lou explores Greece in a WAV

Thanks to the possibility of renting accessible vehicles, Hannah-Lou was finally able to explore Greece again after many years. Pippa shares with us their experiences of a 10 days trip:

It was a pleasure to meet the CareunderSun team and thank you for your good advice; we loved the Hotel in Loutraki and were grateful for your warning not to be alarmed by the long and winding road!

We met a group of young disabled people there with their parents and leader, (a force of nature called Despina!) and had a lovely time joining in with a lovely evening of Greek singing and dancing! We are now friends on Facebook!

We also took your advice and booked our last night at the Hotel in Glyfada, so we had a nice time by the lovely pool. Sadly it is not disabled accessible but we found the #Seatrac facility at the beach so Hannah-Lou had a lovely last swim before we went to the airport. If your clients don’t know about #seatrac it’s well worth googling and you can find where they are. They were just putting in a second track at Glyfada!

The car was great and the freedom it gave was a complete game changer.

We are so pleased we found you! The Perachora Heraion archaeological site nearby became a favorite place; so atmospheric with glorious sunsets.

Then the drive to Prespa was unrecognizable from former times when my husband and I used to drive about Greece; the wonderful Ionian Highway from the Rio -Antirro bridge and over the Pindus mountains made it very easy. Everyone fell in love with Prespa, the lakes, and the Pelicans; also my dear friends who live there and with whom we had happy evenings in the tavernas of other old friends. Without the #wav we could never have had all these magical experiences.

The only thing I should mention is that as we hope to come again, a seat-belt extension at the back would have made Hannah-Lou more secure because the seat-belt was not long enough; she could only have the belt around her middle or over her shoulder, not both, as is the norm. We have one in our car here and they are easy to get and not a big expense.

Best wishes for a successful summer season and lovely holidays for your guests! Pippa

Thank you Pippa for sharing your experience with us. And of course, we are happy for your recommendations for the seat belt. You can be sure that an extension belt will be included on your next visit.
